
Angelo Turner brings more than 30 years of experience across all facets of advancement and development work. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles including Chief Development Officer positions with Cedars-Sinai, St. Charles Health System in Oregon, and Glide Foundation in San Francisco. At Glide, Angelo managed the iconic Power of One Lunch, featuring Warren Buffett and Salesforce Chairman Marc Benioff. Earlier in his career, under the leadership of Jim Langley, Angelo served as Head of Development for the School of Medicine at Georgetown University. He also led advancement efforts for a nine-figure campaign at UCSF focused on child and adolescent mental health.
Angelo began his career at Scripps Health in San Diego, where he developed a strong foundation as a major gifts officer. Over time, he has built deep expertise in cultivating transformational philanthropy, strengthening institutional advancement programs, and mentoring development professionals. In addition to his work within healthcare systems and independent schools, Angelo has advised family offices on philanthropic strategy and has worked internationally across Africa, China, India, and Europe. He has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to nonpartisan public service, serving on two state medical licensure boards as well as parole and re-entry boards focused on reducing recidivism. Angelo is widely recognized for his ability to build and diversify boards, develop high-performing advancement teams, and foster meaningful, mission-aligned donor relationships.
